Aqueene Nizana Wilson, is a multi-faceted space holder, visual artist, researcher and emotive copywriter. Her being is full of creative possibilities, making her a dynamic shapeshifter in Rotterdam. As a self-taught photographer she has exhibited works at Melkweg Expo and Gemaal op Zuid and has curated her own exhibition at Bar Bario. From 2018 onwards she has collaborated with multiple artists by creating their album covers or with entrepreneurs by assisting them in their branding journey. In her personal work, she mostly centers humanity as her most common subject. She is now known for exploring and documenting identities through a vulnerable lens. By researching relevant themes, her work questions the current climate which eventually allows for communal healing, understanding and/or awareness. As such, Wilson recognises that media arts and visual culture are vital components in rectifying historical imbalances and creating a more equitable & nuanced world.

Her branding services are therefore also rooted in her desire to share bold, warm & consistent messages. In a society where the performance of brands is increasing by the day, Wilson’s gift specifically  blooms in workspaces that support vulnerability, accountability & transparency in their communication. Not solely as a strategic way to shape one’s perception of the brand, but to tell an honest story that aligns with the  practice fields of a business.

As a moderator, Aqueene Nizana Wilson intentionally claims her role as an active listening body, by giving platform to those who have a story to tell. As such,  this Caribbean child shines her light by being in service of others and herself.
